Come and see the NEW Stock Hanse 350 and Hanse 370 just in from Germany.
We also have the Hanse 400e, Winner of the Port Credit Open, IRC First Over All!!
TO: THE HANSE NETWORK
This is from the owner of a 342 delivered in June 2005 by Annapolis Sail Yard, and now in the Bahamas. As Scott Heckard mentioned to me it is nice to get the "good news" from time to time...Don
Cindy and I finally made it to the Bahamas on Cindy's Island. The boat sails wonderfully even loaded (or possibly overloaded) for cruising.
We are carrying 110 gallons of water, 41 gallons of fuel, a dinghy on davits, tons tools and spares and enough canned food for 3 months. We had to raise the waterline a couple of inches. Even with all the extra weight and my lackluster sail trimming, we will sail over 6 knots in 12 knots of apparent wind.
Before we left Maryland in 2006, I worked with Keith from Kato to make some mast pulpits ("granny bars") for Cindy's Island. We have gotten a lot of positive comments about them. They are designed to fit on the small cabin top of the 342 and not interfere with the self tacking jib. They are also canted inward and act as short ladders for reaching a little higher on the mast.
I just wanted to let you know that we are very happy with the boat. Hanse makes a great product and I really appreciate all the support you have given us in realizing our cruising dreams.
Thanks,
Gray
